Softball and T-ball

What a fun summer of ball we have had!! At the ball field 3 or 4 nights a week. We had fun, but the summer flew by.

Another Year Has Almost Pasted

I'm going to try to give little bits of our life...I want to remember what has happened in our lives more than anything else. I forget things too often and want to be able to look back and enjoy our family fun!! Like our vacation to Tennessee...we got to meet great friends and family.

Locks of Love

Our oldest daughter Hannah has wanted to donate her hair to locks of love for several months now. I was happy that she wanted to do such an unselfish thing, but concerned that she had curly hair and that with cutting off 10 inches it might be really, really short. Here is our selfless Hannah.

Vacation

The first full week of August we went to Branson. We had a great time!! We stayed with Steve's parents and enjoyed hanging out with them most of the time. One day we traveled to Arkansas to see my sister Tory. They took us boating. It was a blast. Oh, I forgot to mention that our trip started with a speeding ticket in Missouri. Also, on the way to Arkansas we got pulled over again. Thankfully just a warning the second time. Mr. Wood better be on his best behavior for a while, don't you think?

We went to Silver Dollar City one day:

We got Hayden's hair cut:

We went Go Kart racing:

We went swimming:

And the above mentioned boating:

What a wonderful full week!! Thanks so much Jim and Linda!! We love you and miss you tons!!!

August 20th

This marks a new chapter in our lives. Halee is now in Kindergarten and Hannah a BIG 2nd grader. Where has the time gone? I can't believe two of my babies are in school already. It seems like just yesterday that Hannah and Halee where the ages of Hayden and Hattie. Please all pray for them this year as they head out into new adventures with school and friends. I want them to always make wise chooses. Halee has had a couple rough mornings, but has been so excited to come home and tell of all her happenings of the day. On day two of school, there was a little boy that already had to go to the principal's office. This could be a crazy year for the teachers. Hannah has got to get in the prize box twice and it's only the second week of school. You go girl--Keep it up!!

Safety School Graduation

In our county all children that are entering into Kindergarten can participate in Safety School. During this week the kids learn about stranger danger, playground safety, fire safety, school bus safety, bike/pedestrian safety, vehicle safety, weather safety, farm safety, bullying, poison look-alikes, and how to access 911. This is Halee at the graduation ceremony. She had a great time and it was the week before school started so it was a great way to get use to being gone every day. Way to go Halee!!!

A Watchful Eye

In a few years, I believe we are going to have to watch out for this little boy. He is such a lover. He wants to kiss all the little girls. This is a him with our friend the Hall's little girl, and he's kissing his cousin in the other picture. He is such a little sweetie sometimes. The innocence of children. I wish they could stay that way a little longer. *Sigh*

HOT & SPICY

I forgot to mentions something about our ball park adventures. Hayden and Halee where at the food stand (as usual) and there was a bowl of "pickles" setting out. Hayden loves pickles and at the time was eating about 4-5 bread-n-butter pickles each morning. They looked so enticing to him, so he as "E" or Halee for one. She thought there was no harm in giving her brother a little pickle. He put it straight in his mouth and began to chew. That's when the fun started!! He began to scream and cry. We came running and found out what had happened. Come to find out the "pickle" was a jalapeno pepper. The next half an hour was great fun. There was no milk, so we resorted to a milk chocolate bar. After the entire candy bar, Hayden was better. The next morning he did ask for a pickle much to my surprise, but has not been eating them near as frequently as before.
